How is 2012 going for you?
The year couldn't have begun better then it did (touchwood) with so much of happening from Race 2 to Bhaiyyaji Superhit to Shortcut Romeo to endorsements to my own production house. I am also in talks for two other films. Things are looking positive and God willing next year, it will be even better and bigger.


How was it working with actors like Anil Kapoor, Neil Nitin Mukesh, Sunny Deol, John Abraham and Saif Ali Khan all in one year together?
It's been a pleasure knowing them all and working with such fine actors. Of course I've already worked with Saif and Sunny before. It's been a pleasure to work with them again and be a part of some big films.

What about your personal relationship? How come we don't hear any more about that?
I've always been honest about them and spoken about them which I guess didn't really go well for me. Now I'm just focussing on my career and my production house and enjoying life more then I have ever and in no mood for any serious relationships at all.


How come the sweet girl Ameesha has suddenly become a hot and sexy girl?
The credit goes entirely to my business partner Kuunal Goomer who always feels that it's the correct attitude that sells in Bollywood. Since I have the looks, talent and attitude then why not show it? (touchwood).

Things have been really working and in spite of a big gap and some negative people who always try writing me off here I am here with five releases lined up in the next 12 months.

What about the rumours that you were removed from a property that you claimed to have purchased?
Firstly, the property which was spoken about was the one which my partner Kuunal and I were planning to rent on behalf of our company in his and my name on behalf of Ameesha Patel Productions. It was for our CEO Sanchita Chatterjee to reside and not for me.

The deal for the house which I was supposed to purchase from the same owner in the same building fell off at a very early stage. The owner called my broker Sanjay after taking a token for the rented house after which my partner Kuunal and I both signed on a basic letter as a confirmation since our CEO needed to shift ASAP.


But after encashing our cheque three days later, he came up with the excuse that I being a celebrity will create problems in the building once he sells the apartment to me and press won't be allowed in the building if I have parties.

My partner and I found it ridiculous so my CEO Sanchita and I backed off from the deal and as no registration was done, I asked for my money back for rented house deal which he has happily encashed.

So in retaliation he put up rubbish news in papers as he didn't want to pay the money back. So as of now I'm happily staying where I am staying since years now and in fact my hunt for a lovely dream apartment is still on


What does Ameesha Patel Productions have in store for the people?
Our company is currently working on a project that is my partner Kuunal's concept called Desi Magic. It is entirely his brainchild and we should go on the floors latest by mid-October. We are excited about it and of course post that we shall be busy with our other project with David Dhawan.


What is your reaction towards the Bhatts when they refer to your name for the character that Bipasha Basu is playing in their film Raaz 3?
Each one is entitled to his opinion and we should all respect that. I hope the film does well for them after all so much hard work, efforts, passion, time and money goes into a film. The Bhatts are very talented and have made some very special films that entertain people and I'm sure this, too, will and I hope the best for them


What is Ameesha Patel's dream?
All that I can dream now is that like Gadar which had touched a R 200 crore club mark and created history, I hope in this second innings of mine I am lucky to work with some fine actors and directors who feel that Ameesha Patel is the sexy actress whom they would love to romance on screen and celebrate their box office success with and deliver another R 200 crore at the box office.

Whao!!! Sunny Leone made sure JISM 2 Boys didn't have AIDS

The actress apparently demanded to see medical certificates of her co-stars Randeep Hooda and Arunoday Singh before agreeing to shoot intimate scenes with them

Ever since Sunny Leone signed the dotted lines for Pooja Bhatt's upcoming film co-starring Randeep Hooda and Arunoday Singh, she has consistently made headlines.

This will be her first Bollywood film, and buzz is that before shooting for the project, Sunny put a condition in front of Pooja. Apparently, the adult film actress demanded to see medical certificates of both her co-stars.


A source close to the film says, `Before Sunny was to join the cast and crew to shoot her portions, she sent an e-mail to Pooja demanding a medical certificate of Randeep and Arunoday with whom she was scheduled to shoot lovemaking sequences.

In all fairness she also sent her own medical certificate. Basically, she wanted to make sure that she was not going to shoot with anyone who had any life threatening disease (Read HIV).`


The source explains, `Pooja Bhatt then told her that this was not the norm in Bollywood unlike for the adult films that Sunny does. The director also explained to her that she would not require to film sequences that she normally shoots for her adult films.`

Finally, apparently no such medical certificate was shown to Sunny. The source states, `No one is aware what exactly happened and how Pooja convinced her.`

We wonder what Randeep and Arunoday had to say about this surprising demand. Pooja Bhatt remained unavailable for comment.

'I have no issues being under a woman'

Sunny Leone was missing in action at an event for her film with Pooja Bhatt held at a suburban hotel on Thursday

The adult star is in Canada shooting for a flick. So it was left to her co-stars to make the most of it.

Randeep Hooda quipped, `With the kind of projects I am doing, I might soon become a star in some other category of films!` While Arunoday Singh stated, `I have no issues being under a woman.

All of us have mothers don't we, and she is the first ruler of our life. ` While co-producer Dino Morea lamented, `I did have fleeting pangs of jealousy when I saw the smoking hot scenes that Randeep and Arunoday shared with Sunny.


I did wish then that I was acting in the film. At times, when I used to feel a little too disappointed I used to rush in a corner with the accounts books. Looking at the budgets cooled me down.`

Riya and Raima Sen, who feature in an upcoming film with Sharman Joshi, prefer to be mum about their project that is seeing light of day after almost a decade. Says Raima, “We have nothing to say about it.”

This explains why there have been no promotions for the long-completed film — as the star cast has nothing to do with the project.

Ever since the producers Manoj Rastogi and Pramod Sharma and director Ajai Sinha announced that they were releasing the film, Sharman has gone to town about it. He feels the makers are trying to piggyback on the success of his recent release to promote their film.



As reported ‘Now a legal notice to Sharman’ the producers took recourse to the law as they felt Sharman was defaming their film. They felt as the actors had been paid for the film they had no right to say anything about the release date.

'Jism 2' is India's answer to erotic 'Last Tango In Paris'

Filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt has seen the final cut of "Jism 2" and feels it is on a par with Italian romance drama "Last Tango In Paris", known for explicit sexual content.

"Just showed my father the final cut of 'Jism 2'. His comment 'Jism 2' is India's answer to 'Last Tango In Paris'," tweeted "Jism 2" director Pooja Bhatt.



"Last Tango In Paris" featured Marlon Brando as a widower who develops a sexual relationship with a woman without knowing anything about her.

Though the story of "Jism 2" is diametrically different, the movie is expected to have a lot of steamy scenes featuring Sunny Leone, Arunoday Singh and Randeep Hooda.

Sallu's girl is back with a bang - Hazel Keech

British model-actress Hazel Keech on why she vamoosed from Bollywood post 'Bodyguard' and her return with item number in 'Maximum'

British model-actress Hazel Keech, who disappeared from the scene after starring with Salman Khan in Bodyguard, is back in action with an item number in an upcoming film.

Known for her friendship with Sallu, the starlet strangely did not cash in on Bodyguard and went missing from B-Town. “I preferred to be extremely picky. I just did not want to do anything that came my way,” she says.

Sonu Sood who features in the film suggested her name for the item number. “It came my way suddenly and I had to shoot barely within a week. But when I heard the track Aa Aante Amalapuram, I loved it. I rehearsed for three days with choreographer Rajiv Surti and Ashley Rebello did the styling. Now that the song is on air everyone is noticing me all over again.”

Salman connection
During the making of Bodyguard, there was buzz that she was Sallu’s girl. “I guess any girl that he recommends has to go through this. I had met him a few years ago and he had told me that whenever there was a suitable role he would remember me.

I had been in touch with him and when Bodyguard happened he found me suitable for the role of Kareena Kapoor’s friend.” Hazel is half-British and half-Indian.



“My mother’s side of the family is based in Mauritius. Her forefathers migrated to Mauritius and made it their home. I don’t have any relatives in India now. But I know Hindi and have been exposed to the Indian customs due to my mom’s side.”

Hazel has been acting since her school days in England and also did bit roles in the first three parts of the Harry Potter series. While holidaying in Mumbai six years ago, she had the opportunity to feature in the Kahin Pe Nigahen music video followed by some modelling.

She was later seen in a Tamil film Billa where her name was credited as Rose Dawn. “The makers gave me that screen name for the film!” she says. But now she prefers to stick to her real name and look for roles beyond item numbers.

Vidya and Emraan to romance in the rains

The much talked-about Vidya Balan-Emraan Hashmi comedy has been preponed by a month. The shooting which was supposed to start in September now starts at the beginning of August, and with very good reason.

The director wants to capture his Dirty Picture jodi in the rains.

Emraan Hashmi and Vidya Balan are all set to recreate thae long-forgotten feeling of romancing Mumbai in the monsoon in Rajkumar Gupta’s Ghanchakkar.

And to think that the director’s desire to drench his star pair in the monoon rains almost didn’t happen.

Emraan had vetoed director Rajkumar Gupta’s original August shooting for Ghanchakkar because of time constraints, thereby ostensibly killing the proposed monsoonal romance with Vidya.

However a very lucky circumstance overrode Emraan’s schedule.

Over to the director Rajkumar Gupta, “I had originally planned an August schedule. And Vidya who is at the moment doing no other film was completely one with my film’s schedule.

But Emraan was busy promoting Raaz 3 in August as the film was supposed to release at the end of August. But now I believe Raaz 3 has been pushed forward, so I got the window to shoot the scenes that I wanted. I guess I am just lucky. ”

The idea is to shoot Vidya and Emraan on the rain-soaked streets of Mumbai with secret cameras.

That’s how Gupta had shot Rajeev Khandelwal in Aamir. But to shoot two popular superstars like Vidya and Emraan with hidden cameras requires herculian amounts of courage.

Laughs Gupta, “I agree. But both are used to shooting in the crowded outdoors. If Vidya could brave the Kolkata crowds in Kahaani and the Delhi junta in my film No One Killed Jessica then Mumbai would be a cakewalk in comparison. The important thing is, God has been generous. Thanks to Emraan’s reshuffled appointment diary I am able to shoot as and when I had originally planned.

Two male actors from theatre are being finalized.

Informs Gupta, “We are looking at new faces from theatre and from other sources. We’ve auditioned dozens. With Vidya and Emraan in the cast I need untried talent to balance off their huge stardom. Besides Emraan and Vidya there are two major characters, both male, plus dozens of supporting parts. ”

Gupta hopes to wrap up the entire shooting by December. The film releases in the first quarter. “We haven’t got a release date as yet. But I am hoping it would be the 8th of any month in the first quarter of 2013. You see, my first film Aamir released on the 6th and my second film No One Killed Jessica released on the 7th. ”

And would there be a profusion of romantic songs in Amit Trivedi’s soundtrack?

“Wait and see, what Vidya and Emraan do in Ghanchakkar would be very different from what they did in The Dirty Picture. ”
